Another new expense for the club...bird toilets, anything to prevent them from working over the docks

What a fantastic weekend!

Thanks to the Steins for running Trivia Challenge on Friday Night

A series of days in the life of the Commodore

Saturday morning 8:26am (not that I noticed)

Phone call from VC Jack Dashosh who says "Alan,last night at the club...Trivia night was great..."(OK..I know there is a but coming here, especially at 8:26AM)

"But..(I told you so) the air conditioning went off in the bar room and we couldn't get it back on."

PANIC!!!

we have 80 people coming tonight.

I call Hank. He says "so". G-d he always says that - it gets me nuts. "We have almost 80 people coming tonight...that's so!!" "OK let me check it out."

My next call was to Steve Redan. "Steve, the air conditioning in the bar room went out so call your guy"

Steve says "so!!"(man I can kill these mechanical guys) "ok, I'm on it" he finally says.

Both Hank & Steve call our air conditioning company

I show up at noon time and the air conditioner is working..Thank you Lord

The air conditioning guys had come earlier and lo and behold our bar room air conditioner had been hit by lightning Friday night. The AC guy did a patch and asked for a meeting Sunday morning with Hank, Steve and I.

With $ signs running around my head I speak to Don Beck and Eli and Richie Gaynor about our insurance and ask what are we covered for.

Eli says he doesn't know, "ask Richie". Richie says, "I don't know I would have to look it up" . Beck says..."your deductible is probably too high. But call me here is my card."
