GYSC TEAM 2007

DASHES AND NOTES FROM THE COMMODORE

JULY 29, 2007

For the fourth consecutive weekend in July the GSYC was treated to blockbuster events.  On Friday, July 27, the Tubers hosted A NIGHT IN MADRID. Those who attended were entertained by an extraordinary duo, Dominique and Julian, who sang in various languages. The Spanish food and sangria were perfect to compliment A NIGHT IN MADRID. Thanks to Andrea and "Little Elvis" Tuber for a wonderful evening.

Saturday evening, July 29 was our Black and White, Big Band Party. We would like to thank our hosts, Beverly and Danny Hurwit, Eli and Sandy Gaynor and Richard and Patricia Gaynor for their spectacular decorations and for providing valet parking and hors d'oeuvres in honor of Patricia Gaynor's birthday. Our members danced until the wee hours of the morning.

Today, July 29 at 8 AM was the Men's Kayak Event hosted by Avery Rosenfeld. Thank you Avery for a wonderful morning.

At 3 PM today Pat Dashosh hosted a lively discussion of the novel, "MARJORIE MORNINGSTAR" by Herman Wouk. Prior to the discussion there was the showing of the 1957 movie starring Natalie Wood and Gene Kelly.
