DASHES AND NOTES FROM THE COMMODORE

Thanks to GSYC Docks-In Longshoremen: Hank Steinman, Steve Redan, Steve Berger, Alan Karpas, Mike Unger, Larry Cooper, Paul Steinbock, Harry Tuber, Paul Seigel, Richard Gaynor and Son, Eric Steinman, Greg Steinman, Joel Chontow, Howard Mandelbaum, and Roy Sanders for their superb and flawless installation of docks this past Saturday Morning, April 21, 2007. A special thanks goes to Dock Chairman, Rick Rosenthal who led this effort. These hard working men were rewarded with complimentary Dunkin Donuts, Coffee, Bagels, Cream Cheese etc.

I would also like to thank our weather committee chairpersons, Sheila and Paul Seigel for sunny and warm weather!

The Spring Dance on Saturday Evening was a huge success thanks to co-hosts, Allyn and Larry Cooper and Evelyn and Roy Sanders. Members and guests had a wonderful time. The band was terrific and Rick's dinners received rave reviews. Sorry if you missed this great GSYC Event. However, there is still hope. More great events are planned.

Congratulations to Kathy and Rick Rosenthal on the birth of their first granddaughter, Hannah Marie.

The Margolies are in the midst of planning a spectacular Mother's Day Brunch, Sunday, May 13, 2007. A flyer will follow.

Memorial Day Weekend Events are coming soon. Friday Night we will be entertained by the Highlander Jazz Ensemble. Saturday Night is the Memorial Day Ball. Sunday is a General Membership Meeting and a Buffet Dinner. Monday is our picnic. We hope to see everyone!
