NOTICE
At a meeting today, August 20, 2006, of the
Board of Governors of the GSYC, a proposal was made to change portions
of Article XI of our by-laws. This Article pertains to stock. This
by-law change was accepted unanimously by the Board.
According to our by-laws, Article XIII -
Amendments, a copy of the proposal, which has been approved by the
Board is attached to this document. This proposal will be brought
before the membership at our annual meeting to be held on Sunday,
September 3, 2006 at 7:30PM at the clubhouse.
A notice of this meeting was sent to the
membership on August 9, 2006.
This proposal for a change in Article XI of our
by-laws was made necessary because of a change in the "New Membership
Programs." The membership committee, understanding that changes needed
to be made to these programs, made a proposal to the Board at today's
meeting. These changes in the membership format were again accepted
unanimously by the Board.
During this coming week, the new format for the
"New Membership" programs will be sent out to all of the membership to
look at and study. This will also be discussed at the meeting on
September 3rd. The membership committee and especially the Board,
listened very carefully to the membership itself and worked very hard
to correct what most disturbed our members about this program.

email me. However, please wait until you receive the new membership
format and then I believe you will understand why a by-law change is
necessary.
An agenda & proxies will be mailed to you this
week, along with the menu for the Buffet Dinner which will precede
this very important meeting.
